"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I learn, involve me and I remember"

Working together with our children, parents and carers is so important and so much can be achieved to the benefit of your child. We have regular “home links” which are ongoing projects within the nursery to encourage your child and you to get more involved in their learning and move the boundary of this learning out-with the nursery. This can be anything to a mini questionnaire they have to fill in at home, or their weekend book or bringing in a family picture to show and tell. Children love getting involved and the home links always create a real buzz in the nursery and sometimes a little healthy competition!

Parent Club Scotland is a great source of useful hints and tips for parents.

Check our Friday Update email for invitations to Parent Council meetings.

We are regulated by the Care Inspectorate.

Paw Bear goes on an adventure!

The Sunflowers and Paw Bear are working together and he has had great fun going on some amazing adventures with the Sunflower children and their families. The main aim is to take the nursery mascot to somewhere new, take his photo and learn something new to share with the Sunflower children on his return. If you are going somewhere exciting and think Paw Bear would like to join you please ask Daena or any of the team members and they will check Paw Bear’s busy diary for you!

Holiday Pictures!

The Buttercups need your help! If you and your family have had any fun days out or have visited somewhere nice on holiday and have some super pictures then please bring these in for the holiday board. The children love seeing familiar faces and it is a great talking point and an opportunity to broaden their vocabulary and learn new faces and places!
