Today has been very exciting! After weeks of patiently caring for and attending to our vegetable patch, our first ever batch of potatoes are ready! Our Sunflower children helped Janet dig them up and were ever so pleased with their findings! We got two full bags of delicious new potatoes and Janet is using them to make a yummy lunch tomorrow! Good work children!
The wetter the better! We don’t let our Scottish summers put us off! The children last week had great fun getting suited and booted and jumping in puddles! What fun they had! As ever outdoor play remains a key priority for us. Staff ensure our children are out as often as they can and all this rain is helping us grow some super crops in our vegetable garden!
Today we have had some special visitors. Our former pupils from the Sunflower room came to show us their school uniform and tell us about their first day at school! And how smart they all looked! It was lovely to see them again and hear all about such a special day. Our Sunflower children really enjoyed their visits, this is all part of the transition process, helping smooth the preparation for Primary School.
