At Pine Trees we actively encourage as much outdoor play and learning as possible and our Scottish weather is no deterrent! We provide outdoor clothing and footwear to ensure our children get as much fresh air and outdoor experiences as possible!
We take great pride in our gardens and outdoor space and have recently renovated and upgraded the gardens to increase the quality of learning experiences for our children.
At the front of the building we have the Pine Trees Vegetable Garden where our children are responsible for overseeing the Eco-schools project and growing a range of vegetables for Janet the cook to provide them with healthy meals! Its all part of our aim to grow healthy happy children and educate them to make the right choices.
Beside the vegetable garden we have a role-play and story telling garden with Tee-pees, the Pine Trees Shop and the Story telling corner. This provides a wealth of exploratory experiences for the children or can simply be a quiet area in which to capture their imaginations with their favourite stories.
The middle “hidden” garden is our eco and role play garden with everything from am outdoor painting board to a bug hotel to our own Pine Trees Train.
Finally the main courtyard provides a playground for all ages with a climbing frame, a sand hut and lots of space for fun and laughter!
